Happy Friday lovelies, as a matter of fact happy first Friday of the year! I know we are only 3 days into the new year but I can’t help but think that 2014 is my year, I closed out 2013 feeling like my head and heart were finally both in the same place and I could see and feel the inspiration all around me. For those that have stepped into my apartment the first striking thing you notice is the simplicity in color or some would say lack there of (totally intentional I assure you lol), that is until you reach the first door down a small corridor just before my bedroom. THAT room is my office and is filled with all of the color my heart can hold. It’s the place I choose to work, to be inspired, to get out of my own head, to craft and edit my ideas, and to dream BIG. I like to think that this is my own private space where good ideas are created and then born into beautiful styled shoots , projects, and even wedding designs. It faces a playground which reminds me to just have fun, live in the moment, and stop being so serious. Folks sometimes my own thoughts, feelings, and just overall intentional mind gets in the way of me taking a leap of faith and having fun with a project. When my gal pal, Jen from Blush Printables approached me about doing a New Year’s Eve inspired shoot my heart and head were both all in. Together Jen and I came up with a story for how the shoot would play out and filled in the details with stationery Jen designed for the shoot, DIY projects created by yours truly, and products from the lovely Kim at TomKat Studio. Can you say amazing?!
Sweet Courtney from Pizzazzerie featured this shoot on her blog (Big hug and THANK YOU) and in just a short week I’ve seen pictures from this shoot popping up everywhere including the “best of” pinterest board curated by some pretty awesome peeps! But more importantly I hope you feel inspired to get lost in the details, glitter an entire bottle of champagne, and just let go and have fun with your friends as I did. None of this and I do mean none of this could have been done without the wonderfully talented team I had the pleasure of working with, each person poured their creative touch into this shoot and I am truly forever grateful to you. What an amazing start to 2014!
